Dengke Chen holds an MFA in New Media from the Pennsylvania State University and a BFA in Animation from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Chen is an assistant professor of digital arts at Stetson University, and have taught at Pennsylvania State University as an instructor for two years.
Unlike the single narrative storytelling techniques used in traditional animations to amuse and entertain audiences, Chen's animations and installations have nonlinear narratives that engage viewers to critically reflect on social and ethical issues that surround us.
