These pieces of my medical illustrations are drawn for a colorectal cancer surgery guide book written by Yao Li, head of the endoscope center at China Japan Friendship Hospital. The slide below are my sketches and storyboard of these illustration. 

Collaborating with people from other field and do interdisciplinary stuff is not easy! At first, we figure out each step of his operation and merge them into several scenes. After that, I drawn the storyboard of each scene and each step of his operation, and we got together to check out if there should add in or take out any picture. Then I began to use color pencil to draw the sketch on paper. When each sketch finished, we met together to check out if the vessels and nerves were on the right place, and if the instruments are do the right way. At last, I scan them into computer and finished the illustration on Photoshop.
